The JSO stage three concerts during the year.

At Easter, the music is chosen to thrill serious music lovers and allow the orchestra to play more challenging works; the summer concert features popular works usually with a theme, such as from films or the Broadway Shows; then, at Christmas the music is suitable for all tastes, hopefully seasonal, and with a choir to lead the audience in singing Christmas Carols.

From our earliest days until December 2018 these took place at Fort Regent. However, the future of the Fort is now in doubt, and in March 2019 we learned with only 3 weeks’ notice that our concert on 13th April could not go ahead there.  We were most fortunate that this concert went ahead at St Michael’s School, with the kind assistance of the Headmaster Mike Rees and his staff.  The uncertain future of Fort Regent is a very serious issue for the JSO, and it is not an exaggeration to say it threatens our future.  We are strenuously exploring all possible alternatives in an effort to stage our planned concerts and continue to serve Jersey’s music-lovers into the future.

On our Past Concerts page you will find details of all our concerts dating back to 1986.  Click on the thumbnails to take you to information on the soloists, programme and sponsors of these events.

Any confirmed programmes and soloists for future events will be listed on Forthcoming Concerts.
